Cream of Wheat Recipe

Cream of Wheat is prepared by boiling water and slowly pouring in the farina while stirring. As it's stirred, the farina starts to thicken and mix with the water, creating a mixture that thickens depending on the ratio of liquid to farina. Some choose to use milk instead of, or in addition to water, to give the resulting food a creamier taste. Currently there are three available original mixes, the difference being in the time it takes to prepare — 10-minute, 2 ½-minute or 1-minute.

Meanwhile...

TJR's improv alter-ego "Dos Extremos" recently won ComedySportz-Milwaukee's Rec League Championship with a decidedly biased victory over the Stopmotion Dinosaurs. The championship-clinching vote was purchased from none other than CSz founder and progenitor Dick Chudnow, who owed Mike a dollar.

Thid past Friday, Dos Extremos played a professional show against an all-star cast of ComedySportz veterans and, through sheer force of the LeFevre family, won handily. Can any challenger knock them from their lofty perch in the upcoming season?

Rec League begins anew in mid-January.

All is a Buzz on the Lake Front

Greetings all! Are you having Track Jacket withdrawals? Well no need to worry fans, all five of you. The Track Jacket Revue held its first meeting to discuss the future of TJR and we're planning a lot for 2008.
Beginning this winter we will begin video production of our all too sweet video sketches. Our next show will be in the Spring of '08, an exact date has not been set.
We'll then take a short break to travel to China for our respective Olympic specialities: Mike-One Man Water Polo, Lee-Septathlon, Vince-Cheerleading. After winning our gold metals, we'll have plenty of momentum as we preform our third show in the Fall.
And to round out the year we'll have a Christmas Special! So it'll be a busy 2008, but we love doing it and you apparently love watching it. Check in later for more details.

Don't Forget!

Track Jacket Revue is under constant judgement and criticism over at Funny or Die! Help us out by voting us funny, or else we'll be summarily executed. If you weren't able to come to our show, this is a good opportunity for you to see some of our sketches, like this hilarious commercial parody starring the incomparable Michael T. Kauth!

Sorry for That

I'm truly sorry for the outlandish font size and excesses of capitals and exclamation points in the previous post. Do understand that we are not accountable for Vince's actions, but be aware that he has been satisfactorily sedated, and shall not awaken until 9:15 Friday night.

Sneak Peek!

Here's a sneak peak at what's in store for you at our show next Friday. With stunning visual effects such as these, you'll wonder how three college dropouts selling t-shirts out of the back of an '86 Aerostar could afford such a production!

Hey? Where's the Blog Posts?

You can tell by the lack of updates to the blog that we're really busy. No, seriously. As a start-up show, we didn't think things would work together quite as smoothly as they have. As such, prudence demands that you attend, if only to enrich your own life. We know you know when it is. But we'll remind you anyway:

Holy Shit! It's a Month to our Show!

We've been cranking away behind the scenes to get this ready for October 12th. If you're keeping track at home, that's little more than a month away, which sound like a lot, but isn't when you're a procrastinator. Which we are. The good news is our trailer will soon be running at halftimes of select ComedySportz shows, and we're underway with a new one, as well. Also, our posters and quartersheets will be printed soon, so look for them at your nearest Water Street and UWM campus.

Track Jacket's first video up and running!

Here it is ladies and gents, the first promo video for TJR's "Pulp Comedy From Concentrate"

We Hit A Snag

The old adage, "too good to be true," has crapped over TJR. We just signed our contract for the show, we are ready to start building the show and Lee just lost his last baby tooth! Things were going well and I say were because Mike was arrested earlier today on charges for an illegal sock puppet fighting ring. Mike has been accused of wearing socks, drowning them in the washing machine and then burning the carcasses in the drier, and some other unmentionable acts. Mike has denied the charges and I for one believe him. I've never seen Mike were socks, he usually goes barefoot, in fact, the bottoms of his feet are jet black. So in the mean time we're hanging in there and waiting to see what will happen next. So give a hoot and write your congress man or woman to free Micheal T. Bischofsky!

It's Official!

Track Jacket Revue's first show, "Pulp Comedy from Concentrate," is offically scheduled for October 12th at ComedySportz Milwaukee, 420 S 1st St (just across the river from the Third Ward). Also, our first mini-trailer is in post-production, and should be available very soon.

Anarchy's Claw - Help us, help supervillians!

With so many temp agencies out there how is anyone supposed to know the right choice? When it comes to "henchmen placing" Anarchy's Claw has got you covered. In fact over 13,000 henchmen die each year doing remedial tasks like guarding an interstellar fortress of doom or washing an amphibious death dozer of doom or choking on a ham sandwich of doom. Why become just another statistic? With our rigorous, some say torturous, interview process we can place you with the right supervillian.

So why are you waiting around?

The Essence of TJR

So, the other day I was asked what the show would be like. Simply put, it's tough to say, but this advertisement does a good job.

Zip Up!

I've heard some rumors that our show has been written by highly intelligent bears that were genetically engineered by the government for an operation entitled: Laugh It Up Fuzz Ball (LIUFB). But that of course isn't the case. Our show was written by their lesser Soviet counterparts, donkeys.

However, because neither bears nor donkeys have opposable thumbs, we, your fellow bipedal humans, will be performing the show for your amusement. So until opening night comes, keep checking our Facebook and MySpace pages for updates and videos as well as this fantastic blog! And buy a track jacket of your own!

Scripts Done; Filming to Commence

We have finished our scripts--mostly--and we're ready to begin filming our video elements very soon. After a few more brush-ups, we'll be ready to start rehearsing in advance of our October show. Keep checking back, pretty soon we'll have a little preview uploaded and online.
